Youre going to enjoy this game, and youre going to feel good about the $3 you spent on it. And past that, youll probly wish there were more games of this caliber.
The graphics are well-polished and fun. The sense of humor is light and only just enough, which is a lot better than the general in-your-face jokes-for-the-sake-of-jokes malaise that abounds in the App Store. The soundtrack has been really enjoyable, including all the FX and UI interactions; someone put a lot of thoughtful effort into it.
The mix of free-play and turn-based action is a lot of fun and arguably one of the games best features, though I must agree with others that the time between turns feels a bit too long. Still, the transition from free-play to turn-based is a smooth one that gently forces your brain to switch modes. I find myself carefully setting up the perfect kill, and then a cute little thrill as turns begin to unfold.
Ive read some reviewers complaining about poor pathing, and Ive been bit by it once, but I cant dock them a whole star for it. Rather, I think its a simple matter to tap carefully as this is a carefully played game. You cant run through guns blazing and expect to do well; mostly because there are no guns, but also because even replaying early levels carelessly can result in death.
All around, this game deserves a lot of credit and some good publicity. Give it a shot and thank me later. :)
